What is the post mockup generator?

Sometimes you need to show what a LinkedIn post will look like before it exists. Maybe it is a slide in a pitch deck, a draft you want a colleague to sign off, or an example for a brand guide. This tool builds a realistic feed card from a name, an avatar colour, and your post text, so you can see and screenshot the post as it would appear in the feed.

It runs fully in your browser, with no LinkedIn account involved and nothing published anywhere. You are building a visual mockup, not a live post. That makes it safe for drafts, internal reviews, and presentations where you want the real look without committing anything to a real feed.

How to use it

  1. Enter the name to show on the card and pick an avatar colour and initials.
  2. Type or paste the post text and watch the feed card update as you go.
  3. Screenshot the rendered card to drop into a slide, a doc, or a review thread.

Where a post mockup earns its keep

The most common use is approvals. When you are showing a draft to a manager or a client, a plain block of text in an email does not tell them how the post will land. A mockup that looks like the feed shows line breaks, the truncation point, and the overall density, which leads to faster and better feedback.

It also helps in presentations and proposals. Agencies pitching a content plan can show example posts as feed cards so the client pictures the end result rather than reading raw copy. The same applies to internal training, where you want to demonstrate a good post versus a weak one side by side.

Because the mockup is just a rendered card, you control the variables that matter for the look, the name, the colour, and the text. That is enough to test whether a hook still reads well after the feed cuts it off, which is one of the most useful things to check before you ever publish.

Who it's for

Freelancers and consultants use the mockup to win sign-off on copy before it goes live. People managing a LinkedIn Company Page lean on it harder, because every post represents the brand and usually passes through a review before publishing. RightHandMan was built for those page managers. It reads the company's own website, the existing blog and product and case study pages, and turns that into a queue of LinkedIn posts written for the page, and a mockup is the natural way to preview each of those drafts as a feed card before approval. Once a draft looks right here, check the exact wrap and cut-off with the post preview and confirm it fits with the character counter.

Frequently asked questions

Does this post anything to LinkedIn?

No. It only renders a visual mockup in your browser. Nothing is published and no LinkedIn account is connected.

Can I upload a real profile photo?

The tool uses a coloured avatar with initials rather than an uploaded image, which keeps it simple and avoids handling any personal photos. For a presentation, the coloured avatar reads clearly at slide size.

Will the mockup match LinkedIn exactly?

It closely mirrors the feed card layout so the look is realistic, but small spacing details can shift as LinkedIn updates its design. It is built for review and presentation, not pixel-perfect cloning.

Can I use the screenshot in a client deck?

Yes. The mockup is meant for slides, proposals, and review threads. Just keep the name and content honest so nobody mistakes it for a real published post.
