Who we are

RightHandMan.io is a service that crawls the public pages of a website you provide and turns each page into a ready-to-post LinkedIn post or article. We do not post on your behalf. We email the drafts to you so you can review, copy, and paste them yourself.

What data we collect

Account information

When you sign up we collect your name, email address, and the details needed to manage your account and subscription (such as your chosen plan). If and when paid billing goes live, payment details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored by us.

Website content we crawl

When you add a site, we read its publicly accessible pages and store the page text and metadata (titles, descriptions, headings, and similar). We only read public pages, we respect robots.txt, and we apply crawl limits. We do not store raw HTML, and we do not attempt to access pages behind logins or paywalls.

Usage information

We collect basic usage data, such as which features you use, the drafts you generate, and standard server logs (for example IP address, browser type, and timestamps) used to keep the service secure and reliable.

How we use your data

  • To provide the service: crawling the sites you add and generating LinkedIn posts and articles from them.
  • To send you transactional email, including your generated drafts, account notices, and support replies.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the service, and to diagnose and fix problems.
  • To manage your subscription, billing, and account.
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Legal bases for processing

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on these legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract: to deliver the service you signed up for and to manage your account.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, and improve the service, provided your rights do not override those interests.
  • Consent: where we ask for it, for example for any non-essential communications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation: where we must process data to meet a legal requirement.

Subprocessors

We share data with a small number of trusted providers who process it on our behalf so we can run the service:

  • Anthropic: AI generation of the post and article drafts.
  • Resend: sending transactional email, including your drafts.
  • Cloudflare: hosting, database, and storage.

Each provider is bound to handle the data only as needed to perform its service.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. The crawled page content and generated drafts associated with a site are kept while that site exists in your account. When you delete a site, its pages and drafts are removed. When you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep limited records to meet a legal obligation.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to respond promptly to any incident.

Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and, where it applies, the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete your data (you can delete a site at any time, or ask us to close your account).
  • Portability: receive a copy of the data you gave us in a common, machine-readable format.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where we relied on it.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside New Zealand, including in the United States and the European Union. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards offered by those providers (such as standard contractual clauses) to keep it protected to a comparable standard.

Children

RightHandMan.io is intended for business use by adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to let you know.
