What is the profile optimizer?

A review tells you what is wrong. An optimizer fixes it. Paste your current headline and About section, and this tool returns a score plus a rewritten version designed to get you found in search and read once someone lands on your page.

It works only on text you paste in. There is no scraping and no looking anyone up, since pulling profile data from LinkedIn is against their rules. You copy your own headline and About, and the rewrite comes back ready to drop straight into your profile.

How to use it

  1. Paste your current headline into the first box.
  2. Paste your full About section into the second box.
  3. Run the optimizer to get a score and a rewritten headline and About, then copy the parts you want into LinkedIn.

Found and read are two different problems

Getting found is a keyword problem. LinkedIn search matches the words in your headline and About against what people type. If you call yourself a 'growth wizard' but everyone searches for 'demand generation manager', you stay invisible. The optimizer rewrites with the plain terms your audience actually uses, without making you sound like a stuffed keyword list.

Getting read is a hook problem. Once someone is on your page, the first two lines of your About decide whether they keep going. The rewrite front-loads a clear, specific opening so the part above 'see more' does real work instead of restating your job title.

The score shows you why the changes matter. You see where your original lost points (vague language, missing keywords, a weak first line) and how the rewrite scores against the same checks. You stay in control. Take the whole rewrite, or just borrow the bits that fit your voice.

Who it's for

People reach for the optimizer when a profile has gone stale, when they are changing fields, or when search just is not surfacing them. The underlying idea, which is that you already have raw material and it mostly needs sharpening and structure, is the same one behind RightHandMan. For a company page, RightHandMan reads the site you have already published and shapes it into LinkedIn posts, so the optimizing happens at the scale of a whole brand instead of one profile. If you would rather see the breakdown before a rewrite, start with the profile score.

Frequently asked questions

Does the optimizer scrape my LinkedIn profile?

No. You paste your headline and About text in yourself. The tool never fetches or scrapes a live profile, because that violates LinkedIn's terms. It only rewrites the words you provide.

Will the rewrite sound like me?

It keeps your facts and aims for plain, specific language rather than buzzwords. You do not have to accept the whole thing. Most people take the new structure and keyword choices and adjust the wording to match how they talk.

What is the difference between this and the reviewer?

The reviewer grades your text and suggests fixes you make yourself. The optimizer goes further and hands you a finished rewrite plus a score.

How do I pick the right keywords?

The optimizer suggests terms based on what you do, but you know your field best. If you want to test specific words, run them through the keyword tool and feed the strong ones back in.
